Earlier this month I attended FarmCon in Kansas City, Missouri, for the first time. I was impressed by the gathering of producers there. Most of them were row crop (corn and soybean) operations. However, I did meet a few dairies and cattlemen there.

I appreciate these gatherings because you usually get outside of the regular flow of thinking and find some new ideas and perspectives. That was the case for me this year.
